*The Powhatan County Office of Elections & Voter Registration is currently closed to the public. Limited staff will be working in shifts in the office between 9 AM – 5 PM, Monday - Friday, but will only be accessible to the public via phone, e-mail, and fax at this time. In the meantime, we are requesting that the public utilize our online resources for electronic voter registration and absentee ballot requests (links below). If the online resources offered here are not a feasible option, then the public can request to have election documents mailed to them for the purposes of returning completed documents by mail. Saturday, June 6, 2020: Last day to vote an absentee ballot in-person at the Powhatan County Office of Elections.
Absentee Voting by Mail:
Tuesday, June 2, 2020: Last day to request an absentee ballot by mail. Applications must be received in the Powhatan County Office of Elections by 5 p.m.
Tuesday, June 9, 2020: ELECTION DAY! All voted absentee ballots must be returned to the Powhatan County Office of Elections no later than 7 p.m. in order to be counted.
The Powhatan County Office of Elections is located in the Village Building, Lower Level
(3910 Old Buckingham Road, Suite E). Office Hours are 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday - Friday
The office is most easily accessible from the left side door as facing. There is an ADA accessible ramp in the front of the building.
