​Deadline to Register or Update Registration Information is
Monday, Oct. 16, 2017
​This is the last day to register to vote or change your voter registration information for this election.Mailed voter registration applications must be sent to the Powhatan County Office of Elections postmarked on or before this deadline.

 
​In-Person Absentee Voting:  Village Building, Lower Level
​3910 Old Buckingham Road, Suite E, Powhatan, VA 23139
​Monday-Friday, Sept. 22 through Nov. 3, 2017 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
​Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. & Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

​Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017:  Last day to vote an absentee ballot in-person at the Powhatan County Voter Office of Elections.
​Absentee Voting by Mail:
Tuesday, October 31st, 2017:  Last day to request an absentee ballot by mail. Applications must be received in the Powhatan County Office of Elections
​by 5 p.m. on Halloween.

​All voted absentee ballots must be returned by mail or in person by the voter only to the Powhatan County Office of Elections no later than  
​7 p.m. in order to be counted.

IMPORTANT NOTICE OF   VOTER REGISTRATION  CANCELLATIONS

    *As required by the Code of Virginia, Powhatan County has removed from the list of registered voters any person who did not take action in response to an official request for confirmation of their address within the time allowed by law. If you feel you were removed in error, please contact this office as soon as possible.

The Powhatan County Office of Elections is currently located in the Village Building, Lower Level (3910 Old Buckingham Road, Suite E).

The office is in no longer located in the Administration Building. The office is most easily accessible from the left side door as facing. There is an ADA accessible ramp in the front of the building.
