The Board of Zoning Appeals of Powhatan County will meet on Thursday, July 10, 2008, at 9:00AM in the large conference room at the Powhatan County Library, 2270 Mann Road, to consider the following requests:

           

08-08-VZ.  Ballast LLC; James R. Sowers Jr. (Powhatan Courthouse/Ballsville Electoral District) request a variance of 35 feet and 40 feet on one side and 25 feet on the other side and 20 feet each for the front and rear for encroachments to the fifty (50) foot buffer required per §27.6(1)(a)(iii) of the Zoning Ordinance. The purpose of the variance request is to construct a commercial building with required parking areas on the parcel. The property is zoned O Office, is 1.700 acres in size, and is located on the east side of Old Buckingham Road (Route 13). Reference to Tax Map Parcel # 26B3-(1)-18. 

 

08-09-VZ.  Gallier Meyer Properties LLC (Powhatan Station/Graceland Electoral District) request a variance of 25 feet from the required fifty (50) foot front parking setback and a variance of ten feet on both the side and rear from the required ten (10) foot parking setback per §26.3(7) of the Zoning Ordinance The purpose of the variance request is to construct commercial buildings with required parking areas on the parcel . The property is split zoned C Commercial and I-1 Light Industrial, is 3.472 acres in size, and is located on the west side of Anderson Highway (Route 60). Reference to Tax Map Parcel #43C-4-2.
