The Powhatan County Board of Supervisors is proud to announce the appointment of Will Hagy as Powhatan’s next County Administrator. The unanimous vote, taken at the Board’s meeting on May 19th, reflects the Board’s firm belief in Hagy’s exceptional leadership and deep commitment to the people of Powhatan.
Mr. Hagy will officially assume his new role on June 1, 2025, bringing with him over a decade of experience in public administration, strategic planning, and results-driven governance.
For the past three years, he has served as Powhatan’s Deputy County Administrator, playing a central role in delivering major infrastructure projects, driving operational improvements, and advancing community priorities. His background also includes service as Director of Social Services in Sussex County and leadership roles within Virginia’s human services and nonprofit sectors.
