Programs & Events
Powhatan County Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of services and activities to residents and visitors. We maintain three parks, which offer organized and open recreation, athletic fields, picnic areas, a performance gazebo, and a playground. Over three miles of trails wind through Fighting Creek Park and are suited for a variety of activities including walking, hiking, and running. Community residents enjoy the use of one recreation center, with a gym and training room, utilized for planned group programs, meetings, and athletic activities. Our department offers a variety of public programs for ages preschool through active adults in a variety of areas, including athletics, art, personal enrichment, nature education, outdoor recreation, health, fitness, and wellness.
